Sisters Day 2013 – ‘Wisdom is the Principle thing’

26/05/2013 by admin Leave a Comment

“Wisdom is the principle thing”
Proverbs 4:7

The fear of The Lord is the beginning of Wisdom, and Wisdom was definitely the principle thing in our Sister’s Day 2013. As promised this day was bigger and better than ever before, Praise God!! We sang, we danced, we laughed and in it all God was glorified.

The song ministration and the mime were powerful. The testing quiz had the congregation racking their brains, refreshing our knowledge of the word. This year the drama team took us back to the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). How easy it is to walk on by and refuse to help your brethren without their being some personal or benefit or to simply ignore something because you do not want to inconvenience yourself. But we thank God for that ‘Good Samaritan’ and the Good Samaritans in our lives.

We were blessed by the message delivered by our beloved Bishop Calvin, who is no stranger to our joyful fellowship in New Life Bible Church. The topic discussed was ‘The Power of Women is in Wisdom”. If you were not there, you missed the unlocking of the ways to obtain great wisdom. I would advise you to get a copy of the CD or the DVD!!

This year the Sisters’ Fellowship has definitely grown in ‘wisdom’. From a growing fellowship we have evolved into a strong family, united for the sole purpose of glorifying God in all that we do. From bible study, sewing lessons, prayer meetings etc, this ministry has grown exponentially sharpening each other as we go along.

We thank God for what He did on this day and for what He will do with the Sisters in 2014. Looking forward, with expectation, to Sisters day 2014.
