(A poem)
What will l say? What will l do? How would l survive?
I look at the mystery of this world; negative breaking news flying all over
Perceptions running high, aspirations dampening
Sources of inspirations drying up, discouragement becoming a garment
Sincerity jumping out of the window, lies and impatience forming a rat race
Confined in a box and secluded; worry took over my thought and vision.
Above and around me, my mind and soul joined up to form a riot of confusion in the atmosphere around me
Peace and uncertainty fills the air, my patience distorted, l became stagnated in hopelessness.
Caved in but compelled to rely on my inner spirit for solution within me.
Sliding beneath a big black wave, hoping to see the bright side of life.
Mistaken a waiting room for a waiting space
Waiting room oh ooo waiting room
This place of total tranquillity, a place to surrender your “will” to receive power
A place to become passive to active spiritual healing
A place of disposition rather than position.
Waiting room oh ooo waiting room
A place where discipline is needed to renew your strength
A place where opportunity is either appreciated or neglected.
A space of contentment, inevitable frustration and loneliness
A place of effective formulation of strategies, analytical satisfaction and experience of discomfort.
Waiting room oh ooo waiting room
This is a place where identity and personality is immaterial
A place where you are either built or broken
A place where transformation and transition happens
A place of total committed prayer
Waiting room – a place where you either obey or disobey instructions
This is why the psalmist describes it as a place to renew your strength
Where weariness and faint heartedness is subdued
A place where obedient is rewarded for power.
No wonder
Men have not heard nor perceived by ear,
Neither hath the eye seen, what he has prepared for those
That waited patiently for him
That is my waiting room, your waiting room, our waiting room
A place we all need to wait patiently for the promise of the father.
