Sunday 30th March, 2014 marked the 8th Worship Experience Service at New Life Bible Church. God put this vision in the heart of the Senior Pastor, Richard Jama, and it has proved to be of great success. We’ve had testimonies of healing, favour and divine provision. This year as you can imagine was no different. Our theme was entitled the “Waiting Room” taking the scripture text from Isaiah 40:29 – 31; we also read Ps 27:7-14, Ps 37:1 – 10.
Service began with a vibrant session of praise and worship, team members were radiant in their grey and white uniform, there was excitement in the air as the momentum began to rise , visitors, congregation and choir alike were lost in the Spirit worshipping His Majesty.
In the midst of the praise and worship, the word of the Lord came forth declaring that He was revealing Himself as a God of mercy. Oh what joy! Praise be to God for His mercy. There was also confirmation that people’s stories were being changed; circumstances and situations were being turned around by His power and anointing, all glory, just as we have prayed the day before that God will move unhindered, such a sweet and awesome Presence!!
The service began to unfold as we sang “We fill this sanctuary”. The special number “What do you call Him?” set the place ablaze with all manner of dance moves, to the glory of God, proclaiming the power in that Name!! For we can only approach the waiting room on the basis of what that Name has accomplished for us. Another special entitled “Good to me” enabled us to appreciate God’s goodness; He has indeed done us well.
On approaching the waiting room we began to acknowledge that our confidence was in Him alone by proclaiming that we are counting only on God and just as the bible says once we put our trust in Him we will not be brought to shame, for our expectation in Him will not be cut off.
At this point there was a poem on the waiting room, it spoke mainly of the how we are caved in daily by struggles we face, desperate to get out and breathe a sigh of relief, is it possible that there is such a place then we discover the waiting room…
Waiting room oooh waiting room
a place of peace, tranquillity, healing, transformation,
a place of stillness and reverent quietness,
a place of obedience, prayer, worship, discipline, strength,
a place where God reveals what he has prepared for us,
blessed are those who wait….

By this time we were in the waiting room proper on our hands and knees as another session of worship went on, you could touch
the atmosphere the anointing was so heavy time passed by unnoticed as people wept and lay face down before the presence of the Lord.
The programme concluded with the theme song “The Waiting Room” this really summed up all we needed to say and do, there was no need for the ministry of the Word as God had hearkened unto the cry of His people, it was such a glorious service and we give Him all the praise!!
